1943 Russian Tokarev
OK; I decided that this one is a keeper after all. It's a 1943 Russian Tokarev, non-import and no safety added. Not mint but not bad considering what it's probably seen. Judging from the "slash-in-a-box" arsenal stamp, I'm thinking this probably came home from the Korean War or maybe Vietnam? Either way, it was Russian arsenal stamped post-WWII, if I read that mark correctly which implies that it saw duty in at least two wars, before being brought home by some lucky G.I. after it's former owner was no longer using it.
This one is a keeper, but I may wind up with a Chinese Vietnam non-safety non-import Tokarev for sale soon, if anyone is interested. Depends on how a trade deal goes...

Thanks. It was one of a group of guns in a consignment sale, that I finally decided to just pay the seller her price for and keep it for myself. Can't keep everything that you want and still stay in the gun business, but once in a while you DO run across something that just doesn't come along very often. I'd been wanting one of these for a while, and this one was too good to pass up.

Excellent looking gun, certainly looks like a Korea or Vietnam bring back.

The slash in a box is typically a refurb mark on Soviet firearms. Still a keeper, nonetheless.

Joker, That is definitely a keeper. I think it's in decent shape considering that it is 70 years old and has seen 2 wars! Great find... and yes, I'm a bit jeolous.

Well, my other deal appears to have fell through and I hate to do it but I need to get some money together to cover some bills, so the Tok is currently listed on GB at $850 opening and BIN at $925 but if anybody decides they want it here, let me know and if it doesn't have a bid there yet, I will end the auction and sell it here for the opening price.
