920-pound alligator pulled from Alabama lake
"EUFAULA, Ala. – Authorities say an alligator pulled from a lake in southeast Alabama weighs an estimated 920 pounds."
"Last year, a 15-foot and 9-inch gator weighing 1,011.5 pounds was caught in Meek Creek, a tributary of the Alabama River. About 115 pounds of that gator was a deer in the gator's stomach." http://www.foxnews.com/science/2015/...?intcmp=hplnws The big old guys get back in the tributaries and avoid people. Holy sheeeet that half ton behemoth could swallow a small boat.

I'm glad that I live a little farther north...
The wife (who did not marry well) and I were at a friends place near Baker FL and was taking a walk. She walked up next to a pond and I pointed out to her a gator that was nearby I had to carry her the mile back to the house... |
