I just got a message from my niece. All is well. She said there was some flooding and some tree limbs down but they didn't lose power. Big relief.

Looks like the last of the rain passing thru here. Maybe another hour of drizzles. We sure have been getting some pretty stout gusts of wind here.

Every once in a while I hear another tree cracking and falling to the ground out in the woods. So far all have been dead pines and oaks.
Saves me the trouble of cutting them down.

My generator is outside in the rain screaming its little ass off keeping me happy with all my necessary creature comforts.
I've been wanting to run a full blown test on it. I guess this is my test...

18:40 - Update - Power came back up but it's flickering on & off. Reckon I'll stay on back up for a while longer.

I hope anyone in the path of this storm has fared well. Nothing really going on in my area outside Daytona. Nice weather actually for most of the day, until a short squall late this afternoon. We had a tree surgery crew working our property all day until the rain late in the day. We had a shit ton of work for them and they did an outstanding job. They had no bucket truck or Kabota, so all tree removal was done by a climber and roping the cuts down. All cleanup and load out of wood was done by hand. They earned their money! All their equipment and half their company personnel left to work the hurricane this morning. Hell of a storm! Definitely one for the books. I appreciate you men wondering how we were here, so I figured I'd better check in now that I'm freed up a bit. Prayers for those in harms way. They'll need them.

My cousin , retired USAF Colonel , B-52 pilot , Operation Linebacker ,
lives west of Panama City , and his back yard is the Gulf.
He didn't leave.
He sent pix to me all day.
He said winds were 50 mph. Not really more.
Never lost electric.

Very hard storm but didn't cover a lot of area
and passed by quickly ..
Tyndall AFB and Mexican Beach took a hard hit.

Well. Beautiful morning here in Miramar Beach. If there werent sticks and leaves everywhere you would never know that anything happened here yesterday.

Loading up the food and water we bought the other day and going to head into Panama City. I'm sure it will be used there.
