Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default giving the 10/22 a facelift

the OEM walnut stock was a second anyway so i decided to take a crack at some modifications. more of a learning experience than anything else though i did need a drop in the buttstock. with no actual woodworking machinery other than some sanders and a drill press this is tough stuff to get right.

lol, yours looks good.

mine..... have you ever had a directionless project devolve into despair ?

heheheh, 10/22 in bullpup plastic. I'm gonna try some sort of barrel mount for scope or grab the longest forward extending weaver rail from receiver.

someday...

thanks buz. it was more or less a learning thing. no aftermarket parts, all "hardware store" components. a few fit and finish issues as well as the pretty totally square end results. i wanted to learn the process before i jumped on a pro built BR stock. that, and to see how far i could take a factory gun up against the real deal bench rest guns. so far,, pretty damn competitive. it's amazing what the little 10/22 can actually do at 100 yards.

go from the receiver even if you have to use a cantilevered mount. everyone i talk to says to leave the barrel alone. (harmonics). play with pressure pads on the barrel as well. the 18" or 20" Green Mountain barrel is a very good foundation. that and a couple other mods turned my 25 yard patterns into a 100 yard pattern.

won't mention the forum but some douchenozzle when given the opportunity to judge this build as a Super Stock, Super Sport Heavy, Ultimate or Tactical actually chose tactical. what in the hell ? Bitch,,,, i got "tactical" and this ain't it. these are the asswipes we should fear.

Very good. It looks like my Browning shotgun stock.

This is an old picture taken with a cheap cellphone.
