I have no use for megachurch pastors. I really can't stand that fat ugly hairlip lady I see sometimes.

Lenny Bruce once said show me a preacher who owns more than two suits and I'll show you a con man. And I've always believed that.

Now there are some preachers on T.V.
With a suit and a tie and a vest. They want you to send your money to the lord. But they give you their address. |

The "Smiling " not that wish him ill or anything...I know he doesn't preach the truth...he does not stand for anything...he crumbles every time from what I have seen.
I don't even think he can condemn homosexuals or the act at least just like thee pope... flock iz only as good as the shepherd and that flock iz getting fleeced. my .02 |

short video includes some oprah stuff and some other stuff a
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTcLqZSuCP8 although I too would stop and watch him for several minutes a number of years ago...and in the time of need and turmoil I can see how a congregation would want to hear a positive message... There are alot of good, Bible teaching pastors that have TV programs. My personal opinion is that he is not one of them.

Joel Osteen is a good motivational speaker, but he doesn't preach the Gospel.
Lakewood is just a 'feel good' church. SIL and late husband paid about $5K per per seat when Lakewood moved into the old Compaq Center (formerly The Summit), an indoor arena where the Rockets and Aeros used to play. No-one from Lakewood bothered to visit him when he was dying of cancer in hospital.

In one of his TV ads, Victoria O'Steen says, "...you'll be encouraged and inspired."
My question is, "To do what?" |
