Got a new (old) reloading tool.
I go by a little antique/consignment shop about once a month to see if I can find something interesting and today I saw this in a box of old tools.
Winchester patent dates 1874 and 1882. Caliber is .32WCF. The extractor is broken, but I wasn't really planning on using it, anyway. I figured it was worth the $5 price tag on it.

You are as bad as I am. I'm a hoarder of 'antique' tools also.

Whoa that is super nice. Imagine if that tool could talk the cowboy's hands it passed through?

That's a really neat old tool.

It's worth what you paid, and more. In good condition if everything is there they go between $100 and $200.
I have an old Lyman 310 tool. Not worth nearly as much as a Winchester or Remington marked one.

Yup that was back in the day when the cowboys sat around the campfire and made their own round lead balls. No calling Midway and asking them to overnight yah some ammo.
Just watched Hitchcock on YouTube firing a Eurbeti repo 1851 Navy Colt .44 I think it was? Damn those things are like wicked accurate. |
