Hi-points are one butt ugly, front heavy firearm.. but they always go bang when you pull the trigger, and are cheap enough that if the need arises to have a tragic oxyacetylene accident you won’t lose any sleep over it.
Every one should own one just for that reason alone, buy used. They are the modern day liberator for those that live behind enemy lines and need some self defense.

At that price point, one could almost do better with a C&R gun. A tokarev or radom P60 is easier to take apart.
Also Zastava M57 and M70 which is the 9mm version are better guns in my opinion. Yes, you can open carry those and they are almost thin enough to conceal carry & you can if you have a holster that's just right. Those are also way more fun to shoot. |
