Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default Gulf Coast Red Snapper Recreational Catch Season Extended- More days for sport anglers are in store for summer.

Quote:
Private boat recreational anglers have finally caught a break in the battle to be able to harvest red snapper in federal waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Earlier this year NOAA Fisheries gave recreational anglers just a 3-day federal red snapper season, June 1-3.

On June 16, red snapper will open for recreational harvest in all Gulf of Mexico waters, both state and federal. After a couple weeks of negotiations between the Department of Commerce and the fishery managers from the five Gulf states they agreed on a 39-day season.

It will be open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from Friday, June 16, through Monday, September 4. In addition to the weekend days Monday and Tuesday, July 3 and 4, and Monday, September 4 are also included.

After that huge oil drill blowout it was my understanding that everything in the Gulf would be ruined, contaminated and all the fish would die.

What happened to change all that?

Good to see their making a comeback. With all due respect to Chef Paul Prudhomme he did kind of have a bit to do with their demise. Chef Paul came out with the blackened red snapper recipe and it seemed everyone and their brother wanted to try it. Whoops their goes the red snapper.
Now in his defense that was not the single cause as they may have been somewhat endangered before the whole world wanted to eat one.

Can't blame Chef Paul for this one. He did blackened redfish not red snapper.

I ate @ K-Pauls during the blackened redfish crazy. Seemed like 60% of what came out of the kitchen was blackened. Now you don't even find the his spices in the store. RIP Paul Prudhomme.

Whoops your right Eightball my bad. Poor guy is deceased and can't even defend himself sorry Chef Paul.

I think all that sludge and toxic waste settled on the floor of the Gulf? So if you eat shellfish or anything that hangs deep their you get your years supply of toxic waste per dozen clams.

Clams and oysters, yep, they're the bottom feeders all right.
I haven't eaten a shell fish in many years, don't know why, just haven't.
