Best fishing trip last year
Maybe in October 2019... With a rare day off work I packed up the car, drove to a remote, wooded site along a big, muddy river and fished for about 6 hours landing only one fish: a medium sized sucker. It rained off and on the whole time. I dug up my own worms along the bank, got snagged a million times and came back muddy and tired. Guess what? It was the best fishing trip of the year. Pretty pathetic, but I had a great time. It felt like wilderness camping. Gonna try it again once the weather warms up a bit.

68 degrees here today in PA, been raining off and on a lil bit. All the trout streams closed though till April’s opener, had the kids up at the place in the poconos fishing off the stream feeding to a slightly frozen over lake 2 weeks ago didn’t catch a thing, beaver hut was right on the edge of the ice.

68 degrees? Hell... It ain't even that warm in the house!
It will be a few weeks before we start to get some pleasant, warmer weather up here in Michigan. Once we do, you won't find a more beautiful place on the Planet. The pocanos are a close second, of course. Looking forward to dragging my canoe out to fish some of the little lakes this year. |

Almost had to cancel my vacation. New Boss got pissed I was taking AN ENTIRE WEEK of vacation and tried to get even by scheduling me 80-hour weeks when I returned. A co-worker intervened before I even "had my guns loaded", went over her head and got it fixed.
Tomorrow is my last day of work before I empty Michigan's lakes of fish! |
