I got my refund. It took 2 months total. However, kudos to Eotech for making things right.

I know that testing in Norway showed severe problems in the cold. Since it for the most part is always cold here, I suppose this is one of the reasons for us using Aimpoints.

Maybe it's just me but my EOTech was a private purchase I used in Iraq for 14 months. It was always zeroed and it now sits on my M4 style AR. I can hit gongs at 200 & 300 yards. I did have to make a small elevation correction when I mounted it on my AR, this might be the difference in barrel length or the fact I use 55 gr M193 5.56 vs. 62 gr M855. I think I'll just keep mine.

I have been trying to get Aimpoints in Larue mounts for a couple of months but they are sold out and backordered. It seems lots of people are making the switch. Larue is waiting for a shipment of Aimpoints from Sweden to fill the orders.

I changed the battery in my Aimpoint a couple of months ago because it was so old. I don't know if they will leak some kind of goo or not. I figured it was time to change it. It was working fine though. Just as bright as ever.

Got the email, payouts scheduled to start late March. Might come out a little bit ahead with new optics.
