Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default Went shooting inside again

Still muddy at the Izaak Walton range. So I went shooting early this morning. I have an annual pass at the inside range.

I like going early so I have the range to myself. I prefer the lane on the right. It makes it easier for me to pick up my brass for reloading.

I don't know if you can see, but I have 2 paper plates with center dots stapled to the target frame.

I go to Sams Club and buy a bulk package of 1000 paper plates and go to Staples and buy a package of adhesive dots. That's a lot cheaper than buying targets.

Indoor ranges around here won't let you use any but the targets they sell.

At least their prices aren't stupid on them. They may even sell them at cost, for all I know.

When my brother-in-law and I get together to shoot, we'll usually set up paper plates at 200 yards to shoot with our pistols. I'll use my Ruger Super Blackhawk in .44 mag, and he uses his Ruger Blackhawk in .357 mag.

A paper plate at 200 yards is pretty small.

Here you pay $1.50 or you just get the clips and don't shoot a clip, they'll charge you $15 if you hit one. I've been going here lately. stonehartsgunclub.co/miami-shooting-range/

$1.50 for what? I pay $125 for an annual pass and I can go as often as I want. I can use their targets but mine are a lot cheaper.

I prefer shooting at Izaak Walton which is about 1/4 mile from me. The shooting area has a concrete floor and it's covered. But it's muddy to go set up your target if it's been raining like it has been recently.

Thumbs up

I used to have to shoot almost exclusively at an inside range.

Ive only shot inside once, a packrat in the garage with .22 birdshot. No way I could live in the city. I like to walk outside to piss and shoot right out my door.

Quite a few years ago a rat got in my house and I shot it while it was behind the washing machine.

Here's a tip: Don't use .44 Mag birdshot in the house - even if it is all you have at the time.

Ha Ha, I used a .22 LR when I shot the rat behind the washing machine. I was going to install laminated flooring there anyway.

My wife about crapped.

Question

Pogo, do you ever shoot at Willow Slough range by Morocco? I think that must be just north of where you are at...I've been there a number of times over the last 4 years or so. Just curious.

I went shooting inside, too. The Princess got mad as all get out.

You guys need to get an air gun for those in-house rat hunting trips.
