If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all.........
Ahh, yes. My $500 'beater', plus the $900 or so dollars that I've stuck into it since the day I brought it home, just keeps getting "better".........
Bad things happen in threes, right? Makes me wonder WTF is gonna happen next! I mean, last week was 'heart issues', now this....... I smoked a big doe at about 68 mph this morning about 5:40 am (central time), on my way into work. Called the office to let them know I'd "be late" and was asked if there was 'anything they could do'. Company VP said "What can I do?" I asked, "Send someone out with a chain to pull the bumper out of my tire, and I can make it to work". They did. Good news is, the brand spankin' new radiator my daughter and I put in 2 weeks ago does NOT leak! No damage what-so-ever. No coolant, engine oil or transmission fluid leaks ANYWHERE! It's still drivable, just looks like shit. Nothing but 'body damage'. Easy enough to find. Just finding the 'right color (black), may be an issue. Black is a common color back then, so hopefully, color shouldn't be an issue. Yukon pics....... Notice the 'groove' cut into the left tire (your right while viewing the pic), from the front view. It was 'that bad' just driving 500' or so to the next gravel road to pull off on (wasn't shit for a shoulder to pull off on). That bitch won't do that again! I was meeting a 'grain hauler' when I smoked her. I'm thinking the impact launched her into the semi and he nailed her with the drive tires and trailer tires. There was no 'tire type blood trail' when I dropped by 'the scene' to snap this pic mid-morning after we were shut down at work due to high winds, so I'm thinking that nobody else ran it over. |
