I have had no problem using Ed Brown upgrades myself . I think if you stay with top quality stuff you will be OK .

Ed Brown makes quality parts.
The packages that I put my 'old' parts in, all said, "Brownell's" on them. Part numbers might tell 'who made what', but I don't have the time or ambition to research that tonight. Maybe in the next few days or so, but not tonight......I already started in on the 'adult beverages'. I have read on another forum, that to fit a beavertail safety, one needs to get a 'S&A safety & jig' and remove material/trim the tangs of the frame or beavertail yourself or have a competent gunsmith do it for you. I hate to post the link to another forum (good info but extremely anal), so if you'd like to do a search of those forums, send me a PM and I'll send the link to the Index page of that forum to you. |

I put a Smith-Alexander grip safety on my Kimber with the .460 Rowland conversion... mostly because I DETEST the "memory hump" that everyone wants to put on the safety, and you can get the S-A without it.
However... fair amount of Dremel work required to have it fit flush on the outside... |
