Percussion cap shortage
Any one know why percussion caps are damn near impossible to find especially Remington. My local gun shop did have CCI in stock so I'm picking up 10 tins on Fri. I would have preferred Remington. No one has them in stock. I just bought a Pietta 1851 Navy Yank.

During the last cap shortage, I discovered the Dynamit Nobel caps. Damned if I don't like them way better than CCI or Remington. Way more consistent and seem to burn hotter. I was buying them at Sportsman's Warehouse, but haven't seen them lately.

Finding caps easy enough here.
It's the damned powder that is hit and miss around here. Got 5 tins of caps both Remi and CCI, but on my last jug of FF, and half jug of FFF.

Since cap and ball pistols are considered antiques and not firearms felons can and do carry them and use black powder rifles. That’s a loophole you never hear libs cry about.
I posted a video long ago and far away or was it a galaxy far anyway some ex-con was ‘splaining that he could conceal carry a cap and ball revolver and had a Hawken in the backseat of his truck and the cops can’t do shit because in his state and presumably federally they aren’t firearms. Drug dealers were after him, maybe he’s dead. Anyway that was some random ahole’s story on YouTube.
