I always gave my sister shit about her kids being damaged goods because their father split shortly after the boy was born. My own mother set my sister up to become Free Shit Army at my fathers expense. From buying there weekly groceries to birthday & Christmas presents. Not to mention my dad having to go down & fix everything around the house.

My dad pretty much hated the fact the youngest(the Piker) could have the energy to play sports in school, but couldn't pick up the dog shit in the back yard or cut grass I figure my mom told the old man to light up on him because he didn't have a father around.

Every Christmas while I was around the Free Shit Army showed up, where my brother family never came. I'd fuck around hogging up their toys until the batteries died, then leave when the crying started. That carried over to when I was around the Pikers slew of kids. I can still picture myself shooting his boys with Nerf guns, making them fetch the foam bullets so I could shot them again

My guess is if he comes & eats the orgy of meat Dino ribs, beef back ribs, Smoked sausage, ox tail off the Kamodo he will be buying one.

I really cut out drinking. Most people who come over bring beer with. I Keep booze around & mixers if they want a snort. With the wife gone I avoid the depressant effects of alcohol.

I doubt I'd buy a Komodo. They're basically the same as a BGE, and, I have a digitally controlled, gravity fed, Masterbuilt. My deck is 18'x18', and my Weber kettle grill, MES 30, and Masterbuilt GS800 takes up a 12'x3' space along the backside (nothing is closer than 6' from the house.just 'in case').

I'm getting a LOT of flak from the wife about my proposed 'road trip', from my wife. She's insisting that I order it, and wait the 3-8 weeks for it to arrive, rather than spend the $$$ on gas & motel rooms.

We'll see..... I need a break from this f***ing weather.

Friday evening, my wife sent me to run errands. I stopped at the local liquor store and ran into my friends girlfriend. During our conversation, she mentioned that I should talk to another mutual friend (she had heard that she had a M1 for sale).

When I got home a few minutes later, I sent her a message.

Yesterday morning, she replied, and said that she had a M1A, and it was not for sale.

I'm back to rounding up the needed items to buy from the CMP.

Here's how my trip would go: Take all paperwork and travel to Anniston, Alabama and buy my M1. Take the coupon for the free time they give you with the purchase for the CMP range at Talladega and go try it out.

There's a store at the Talladega range, but they have limited stock.

For the club membership, I just joined the Garand Collector's Association.

I have tried the following drill numerous times with numerous people:

1. Set up 3 steel man silhouette targets about 30 yards out, spaced apart, creating a 90 degree range of fire.

2. Have a guy use an M1A then an AR15 to shoot each target once, then to shoot each target twice. Note the time used.

In every case, the shooter has put rounds onto every target faster with the AR15 than with an M1A, due to lower recoil and lighter weight of the rifle.

But if there are car doors or house walls to shoot through, I will invite you to handle the task.

We have not had alcohol in the house for years, and if people are coming to dinner I ask them not to bring alcohol. The exception was when we went to Ireland - the wife tried out that brown beer that looks like fizzy coffee.
