Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Thumbs up Buck Warranty

I found an old pocketknife in my stuff not too long ago. It was a Buck 301 Stockman that had two broken blades and beat-to-hell stocks. It looked like it had been through a wood chipper or something. I don't know where it came from. I probably found it out in the desert or on a job site, somewhere.

Anyway, just for shits and grins, I figured I'd send it to Buck and see if they'd do any warranty work to it. First, I called them up to make sure they weren't shut down because of the Kung Flu. The nice lady on the phone assured me they were open for business, and warranty work.

So, I printed out the warranty claim form from their web site and filled out and sent in the knife. This morning, I got the following e-mail:

Quote:

I called them up to buy a new pocket knife at 1/2 off. I asked the nice lady on the phone (seems everyone is nice who talks on the phone over there at Buck) if I could upgrade to the rosewood handles. She asked if I could hold a moment and she went and asked the boss. When she came back, she said I could upgrade for an additional $5.

We did the deal over the phone and I now have a new pocket knife headed my way:

I carried a Buck 110 thru Junior & High school. Eventually I switched to Gerbers when someone showed how the Gerber could shave the edge off the Buck.

I've meaning to order one for the longest time, but haven't yet...maybe I will now.

I carry an SOG which I had to send in once and they did a good job.

I have anywhere from 3-4 pocket knives on me at any time, as part of my daily carry.

If you want a 3-blade Stockman style knife, you might find a Buck 303 Cadet a little more easy to carry. It is just the smaller version of the one I linked to. I've been carrying on I got on ebay with the Champion spark plugs logo etched into the blade. Then one day, I'll decide to carry a different one - like my old Case, or a Bear and Sons, or an Old Timer, or a Kabar. I have many to choose from.

Buck is good people. I had a similar experience with Gerber. I sent them a broken multi tool and they sent me a brand new one - better model as well.

They do have excellent customer service. Years ago I sent a 110 in that I dropped and broke the tip of the blade. They recontoured it sharpened it and sent it back, just like new, except about 3/8" shorter.

They don't warranty the cotton pickers. It is buyer beware, only.

A friend of mine left his mini Maglite in a spotting press. Mashed it to about 1/8-3/16 thick. He sent it to Maglite and they sent him a new one.

You have to do your own diligence on those. Sometimes they run away.

I got one of those on ebay a while back for $35. Looked like it had never been taken out of the sheath. Not a scratch anywhere on the blade. Sheath was a little musty smelling, but I could ignore that.
