I'll take a canoe over a kayak. Both are nice, but I like the extra space of the canoe.
This summer, my wife, my brother and I kayaked and canoed the scenic Pere Marquette and Pine Rivers. Both are beautiful. The Pine River is my favorite: more secluded, faster and deeper. |

Eventually sold it. Never again. I'll take a cheap-ass canoe or kayak over an expensive boat any day of the week. |

We have Delta Kayaks and they have some pretty massive cargo areas. A canoe is just asking for a fist fight or divorce if two are in the same boat IMO

A friend gave us an old plastic paddle boat about three years ago and it has been laying in the woods ever since. Yesterday, wife and I finally dragged it to the pond, pedaled around a bit and were pleasantly surprised. Not a bad little boat.
