Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

I love fishing Pogo to is into fishing. Been fishing since I was a kid we used to walk down to the beach on Long Island Sound and catch Blue Fish and Flounder.
A Penn spinning reel a 6 ft. pole and that was it. We always came home with fish. Now a tour through Pro Bass's store and the equipment they have is incredible nowadays.
Hell the fish don't stand a chance. Good luck JD.

My local Publix supermarket carries wild caught Salmon fillets, but they are seasonal, of course, and they keep them sealed package in a hidden freezer away from all the seafood, , about $18-20 a piece. Every time I go by I look for them and get a couple, we try to eat salmon at least once a week. They'll be all gone in a couple weeks, I'm sure.

Best of luck with the new reel. You're gonna have a great time. Enjoy.

The creek behind our house is only ankle to knee deep but is a destination for migrating salmon/steelhead. By the time they get up here, they just want to spawn and die. Most of them are pretty beat up, semi-rotten and not worth catching.

There's a run in the Spring and Fall. Every year is different. Last year was a huge run. This year, we've only seen a handful.

Last year I caught one and my wife got three. We won't do it again. While the fish we caught were in pretty good shape, the meat just wasn't that good; kinda muddy and fishy. The ones caught in the big lake or larger rivers are delicious.
