Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default My son Roger...

...has just undergone his first course of poison injections (a.k.a. chemo-therapy)
to combat his high grade non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. After effects have laid him out,
but his mood is good still, especially as a PET scan shows the cancer restricted to
the lump in his chest and not in his vital organs.

Your prayers for his recovery, and for his wife Anne and daughter Emily are very
much appreciated.

Definitely will talk to The Boss about Roger.

Tell him chemo is a bitch and he'll have good days and bad days but to keep his spirits up, and he'll win.

Consider another prayer daily sir being done. And for his wife and daughter. I believe in the healing power of our Lord.
Best regards to you and family sir.

My wife's cancer took me to my knees Rick.
Connie still worked her day job.
When I was sure she had left for work?
I just walked out into the middle of our beautiful well kept lawn.
And I screamed at the situation.
I cried,i cursed my wife's lot on this planet.
and almost lost my faith..
While on my knees praying
I offered my life to save her life
And meant it.
God took me in and healed my wife
Very personal and private moments then I never told Connie.

Gentlemen - thank you for your prayers; I know how powerful they are.

Here's what he says following his third session of chemo:

People keep saying the nicest things. They say I'm brave. I'm not really.

How could I be? I don't have to endure pain. My chances of making a full recovery are good, not a certainty, but good.

Look, chemo isn't fun. Nor are the injections, the pills, the port in my chest, the endless blood taking, the 5- or 6-day hospital visits, the fatigue, the hair loss, the anxiety, the effects on my teeth, the headaches, the chest stitches. But they are nothings.

Yes, I have dips—mentally and physically. Sometimes they are deep. I know it will get harder as things go on. But I see this as a very long endurance race that I cannot abandon, regardless of how tough it gets. I need to grit this out. I need to endure, even past the point where I want to. I can bitch, moan, whine. It won't help. The oncology team aren't going to let me off. I must continue. That's my only challenge. Endure until the cure.

You want bravery?

I've shared the ward with terminal cancer patients. They have been distraught and dignified, often within the same conversation with me.

The man in the bed to my left is missing most of the lower half of his face, from the upper lip down. He barely has the remnants of a mouth. He feeds himself by injecting a beige paste into a port in his belly using a monster syringe. His speech is anguished and unintelligible. That's what he has to endure.

He smiled at me today. I can't comprehend his bravery.

Oh man, sometimes all I can say is Thank you God for giving me health thus far.

State of mind is very important with chemo. I have a female friend who went through it, breast cancer, had both removed, went through chemo and radiation...eight years ago, she had a chance to see her daughter grow and she has remained clear. Wasn't easy but she took it all with a grain of salt, her husband and all her friends stood by her and made a difference.

May God help him stay clear and healthy.

Richard, I have spent a lot of time in

Cancer hospitals and I have seen the

best and the worst...Additude is a lot.

The success rate is a lot better than it

was even a few years ago...It sounds

like your son is a fighter and has the

desire to continue his battle...

I wish him and the whole family success

in this fight Sir...

All of you will be in my Prayers as always

Mike - the PET scan following the course of chemo-therapy indicated
that he is 'cancer-free'.

he is realistic enough to know that it may recur in a year or two but
for the moment he is content and concentrating on complete recovery
with the aim of getting back into long distance running. Also, he has
to get his business back up and running.

I should have posted this here earlier, but I mistakenly posted on the
General Discussion forum. Thank you for your concern.
