Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default Boiled Green Peanuts

A friend gave me a big bag of green peanuts so I put them in a four quart crock pot with about a half cup of salt and a tablespoon of Tony Chachere's seasoning and filled it to the top with water. Put it on high and let them bubble away for about four hours then turned it off and let them soak for about a half hour.
Turned out real good with a cold beer. The left overs are in the freezer to enjoy later.

Thumbs up

That sounds like the same way that I season them except I chop up several jalapenos for a little heat. Datil peppers have more flavor and heat if they are in season.

I use to cook them for hours in a pot until we bought an Instant Pot. Now it takes about an hour start to finish for 2 pounds.

Yanks don't appreciate a fine delicacy liked green boiled peanuts.

I may have to look into one of those Instant Pot things, it sounds a whole lot more efficient than an open pot or crock pot.
The guy who gave me the goobers uses liquid crab boil for seasoning. It's pretty good, but I prefer just Tony's and a little cayenne pepper if I want them hotter.

First time I saw a boiled peanut stand I said yuk what are these people crazy. Then I ate a few. Now I can't drive by without locking the damn brakes.

I tried them once, that was enough. I reckon it's an acquired taste? I love them roasted.

My favorite way is to put McIlhenney's Tabasco sauce in the boil. Not too much. Just enough to let your gums know it's there.

I've tried them three times from three different vendors. Y'all can keep them.
