Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default My Dad

My Dad died August 1999, he was not just my father but my best friend and hunting & fishing partner! Born & raised on a farm in north central Louisiana he was an avid outdoorsman and fiercely patriotic.

He was a Veteran of WWII (US Navy) and the Korean War (US Army). He served on a Destroyer Escort (DE39 USS Lovering for all you curious Sailors!) April 1944-October 1945 in the Pacific

Visiting the USS Kidd (Destroyer) memorial permanently berthed in Baton Rouge.

He served with the 2nd Chemical Mortar Bn in Korea, finishing his tour at Camp Chaffee, Arkansas

My dad is still rocking at age 85. He proudly served during the Korean WAR as Air Force/SAC long-range bomber mechanic.

That Korean War was a tough one. A lot of soldiers were sent there without the necessary equipment. Many died from frostbite and hypothermia.

Dad looks pretty tough in those two images, Dannyboy. I guess two wars would do that.

Sounds like he was a great Dad though. I bet you still miss him a lot.

I remember as a kid hearing Dad and an Army Buddy talking about how harsh winters were in Korea. All branches of service were terribly neglected at the time that war started...Soldiers, Sailors, Marines & Airmen should never have to fight while short of equipment & supplies.

Sadly it's still happening.

When Dad died a friend of his called him a "gentle giant". Hardly a day goes by that I don't think of some "pearls of wisdom" he left behind, at the time he said them as a dumb-arse kid I thought he was full of crap!
