Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Every night, during shutdown, Windoze downloads 6 upgrades, always 6.
Are they the same upgrades, every night?

I spent a few hours yesterday resurrecting my daughters laptop running Windows 8 because it wouldn't boot up correctly so had to do a refresh followed by reloading several programs. Once I had it up came the pop-up for the windows 10 crap. Wondering if it was the initial cause of the problems?

I have no idea, the screen reads, "Do no shut down or turn off your computer, it will automatically shut down when the upgrades are completed."

I just let it do it's thing, so that it will turn off.

If you have 7, keep it if you want. 8 totally royally sucks. (sorry mods but it is the 100% truth)

M$ and the feds can install spyware on any M$ system be it client or server.

If security is your #1 priority, install PC-BSD or Linux Mint.

That is a matter of personal opinion. I use W 8.1 and it is setup so it runs just fine, easy to use and the desk top looks just like W 7 or other versions of old.

Exclamation

I've been getting daily pop-ups advising me to install my free Windows 10 software for months now. I'm currently running 8.1 and have never liked it. A few weeks ago my computer went ahead and downloaded 10 with out prompting on my part. I tried to stop the download but couldn't...very Orwellian, imo.

I haven't actually installed the new 10 version. Have read many pros & cons about it over the last 6 months or so...I like having a current Microsoft OS or least have since the days of 98. Might have to bite the bullet and let Billy Gates have his way with me.
