Here's probably my favorite long distance shooting gun..
It's a Ruger Number one that I bought many years ago. It is in 25-05 caliber. Extremely flat shooting rifle.

25-06 is catching on around these parts as a pretty effective deer gun

25-06 is a very adaptable round. It can be used on everything from moose to whitetail with no problem. Even make a ground hog explode if you wanted to.

I'd like to try my 300 for some distance shooting. So far I've only tested it out to 400 yards.

That's a nice looking rifle you got there. I've always loved the sleek look of the Ruger No. 1's, just couldn't bring myself to drop that much $ on one.

As I said in another thread that is one sweat rifle and the 25-06 is used around here alot by deer hunters !!
Ya can't beat that RUGER for long distance shooter !!!! |

.25-06 is a great caliber. I thought it was crappy... until I actually fired one.
