Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default Army sets sights on new sniper rifle

Army squads’ designated marksmen have been using the M110A1 7.62mm semi-automatic sniper rifle — but threats have evolved and U.S. soldiers deserve the best rifle for the job.

In 2016, the Army selected Heckler & Koch’s 7.62mm rifle based on their G28, with specific modifications tailored to meet the military’s requirements.

Accuracy
The G28 is designed to provide accuracy of 1.5 MOA.
What’s the maximum effective range? The company indicates high first round hit probability up to about 2,600 feet.

Nice looking weapon but we will have to see what the troops think?

I really have a hard time believing no American gun company can come up with an acceptable rifle.

American guns for American soldiers.

That is odd. We’ve had the HK417 (basically the same rifle) over here for some years. They shoot 1 MOA or better depending on the ammo.

Is it to much to ask for a reporter to actually research the shit they write about?
The M14 was developed in the late 1950’s, and put into service in 1961, the Remington 700 didn’t come into production until 1962.

Then there’s the whole 7.62 Nato can be defeated with body armor, unless it’s fired from this rifle, WTF is he getting paid by H&K. This just in... Class III armor with rifle plates can stop 7.62 Nato and 5.56.

So why doesn’t someone make a semi automatic sniper system in 338?
