S&W MP15
Been looking at getting an AR15,but don't want to spend an excessive amount for what is just a fun gun.
Anyone have experience with them?

One of my cousins has a couple of them. They are good guns. You won't be disappointed.

I have one their nice well made guns the S&W M&P 15. MSRP is $1,295 and I don't see them being that nice? I picked it up from a young Marine who wanted to trade cause it did not have a dust cover for some reason?
$500 for the S&W swap he was happy I was happy. I put a new upper on with the dust cover.

I have a M&P Sport and AFAIK it still comes with the potbelly trigger guard. They also changed the rifling twist and put a forward assist and dust cover on them. I don't know anything about the standard version.
The extra-large trigger guard is definitely a plus.
