Brindyn Bill b.1946 d.?

I have previously posted another picture of my parent's Stafforshire bull terrier, Brindyn Bill

but I recently found his pedigree and puppy pix probably taken as soon as mum & dad brought him home in early 1947.

I remember him as the full grown dog...sweet tempered, obedient, not an ounce of malevolence in him, but would often run through one's legs fast, occasionally knocking us to the
ground.

I found his pedigree to be quite interesting, seeing as his mum won show awards.

Belle and Beau are not at all impressed, but then they were awfully cute puppies.

He lost any eye when, unprovoked, a Scottie dog (Scottish terrier) attacked Bill, who was on a lead at the time. Not sure when he left for the Rainbow Bridge.

Not all Staffordshire are pit dogs, even thought they are the correct breed for it.

Here is my son an American Bulldog who gets labeled pit bull by retards all the time.

This guy's head is very much an English Bulldog. He doesn't bear any resemblance to what I would consider a "pit bull" breed.

Check out my avatar. It's my 3-year old English bulldog Roland, aka Rollie. Both of his parents were champion show dogs, especially his mum who won a number of Best Breed & even Best in Show.

True that, but it really frosts me when people use the term 'pit bull' as a breed. BARC
used that term on the papers got from them when they were fixed, and that followed
them to the dog licences. They definitely are NOT pit bulls; they are definitely part
Staffordshire.
