Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Lived in the Southwest pretty much my entire life and could never talk myself into eating that cactus. Don't know anyone else who eats it, either - White, Mexican, or Indian (feather not dot).

Geez I don't know on that one boon? I had to look up what the hell Nopolitas was. Now I like different foods but the comment sections said they kind of taste like a cross between road kill and shoe leather?

I'll eat all kinds of stuff that scare most peeps. To be honest with you I would eat road kill if I seen it happen & the state of Texas allowed it. I've seen lots of high dollar Axis deer get hit & lay to rot or feed the coyotes & vultures. The shoe leather is defiantly someone who doesn't have a clue. I just finished the leftovers off with eggs scrambled into it.

Salvaging road kill is legal in Arizona and New Mexico.

I knew a guy who would keep his police scanner on just to listen for reports of deer/car collisions. Then he'd hop in his truck and go out to the scene to see what he could salvage. He was happy if he got half a deer.

When I was still living in Arizona, I saw a deer get nailed as I pulled into work, one day. Called my brother-in-law to come and get it, as I knew he was off that morning. Before he could get there, a couple state workers in a DOT dumptruck stopped and started field dressing it.

In fact, I have some road kill venison tenderloins in my freezer.....

The needles got to go! I'd say try the ones in the jar first & if you like them try the fish ones. I've only bought jar ones, but have seen the deneedled ones in produce @ the store. There is also the fruit of it too!

In hard time ranchers with burn the needles off to feed cattle. I use to use a cactus burner to fire up the pits when I cooked whole hogs.

I just looked it up too, not known to us easterners, I'll try it without the guacamole sauce.

I'd eat it without any sauce. I'm up for almost any vegetable. I don't care for Mexican food because of the spices.
