Thunderbolt isn't the best .22 ammo there is but I'll get it while it's hot. I ordered 5x500. They are good enough for practice and plinking.

Still have some from the 90's. I really stocked up back then. I guess most of us have a 10-22 and the P-22. The 10-22 I shoot the most has a Butler Creek bull barrel and Houge stock. Both added after the base rifle was purchased. Can't forget the conversion unit(CMMG) for the AR either. |

I had some feeding problems with Thunderbolts. Not sure if they changed them to correct the issue.

My lever action Henry doesn't care. It'll eat anything.

It's good plinking stuff and runs okay in a few of mine. I haven't seen it that cheap in probably 10 years.

If you want ammunition that is a little better, Targetsport has GECO brand .22LR for $2.30 a box and GECO target .22LR for $2.99 a box.
GECO is good ammunition made by Dynamite Nobel in Switzerland and Germany. |

I bought a lifetime supply the night of the Nov.2012 election. Obozo wasn't going to run me out of ammo, the commie bastard.

Took my boys out, a few weeks ago to shoot up a bunch of that I had from before the last panic. It was all about ten years old, and stored correctly.
Had plenty of ftf in the 10-22, and the walther p-22. My youngest had a squib in his cricket 22. I won’t buy that ammo again, it reminds my of that peters crap from the 90’s, and it’s priced about the same.

All of my .22s eat thunderbolt,
but I'm already very well stocked. Best price I have seen in years

I have one AR I installed a 22 conversion unit in.
Now and then I put the regular AR bolt in to blow the gunk out of the gas port. Grandkids like the 22lr in an AR. And I like teaching them responsible firearms use. Still remember handing the youngest son a 10-22 with a butler creek high cap magazine. Told him to only shoot one or two shots and he proceeded to do an ammo dump. |

I've read a lot of comments that Remington Thunderbolts have improved quite a bit over ones made a few years ago.
Another inexpensive .22lr ammo I like is Remington Golden Bullets. |
