Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default Ordered myself a Fin!

I been having a fascination with Finnish stuff lately. First I bought one of those semi suomi's and now I ordered a "B" Barrel M39 on special at SOG for 229.95 (down from 299.95). I even put on the Handselect on it and after shipping it cost 258.95. Pics to come when it arrives. Also ordered Talvisota on DVD for the full effect.

Based on my experience with all three of the m-39's I've owned ... you just made one of the better buys in your life!

Good Move!

any hand select upgrade means the salesman yells to the back of the store: "Hand Seleeect!!!" and they smear more cosmo on it before shipping. nah Jk.....

congrats ... I need to check my cartoochies to see what I have for barrel grades on my 39s.

Looks good. Can you tell what kind of wood the stock is? And it looks like it has an oil finish instead of that nasty looking shellac/pine tar/goo/ whatever mixture that the Russians use.

The Finns used Arctic Birch for their stocks.

I've got a copy of Talvisota (The Winter War), but the sub titles don't synchronize very well. You should seek out a copy of the German film "Stalingrad" as well. Both are pretty good for foreign films.

Seen them both! Stalingrad is just too depressing though.

I love the Finn Mosins, they are definitely the best of the breed!

That's a nice looking rifle. What year /mfg/etc? You must be back to steady work. Congrats on the nice M39. We'll have to get that winter shoot going now and see if she's got SISU!

(Speaking of Talvisota, if you've got money to burn, My Tikka M28 might be available to a good home. I know you'd give it one. Trying to raise money for a black svc rifle.)

Nope not back to steady work yet. I will have to be looking for a job soon. This is just a Christmas present to myself. This is "B" Barrel dated 1942. Might have to look at the M28 at the next shoot!

Have you shot your Suomi much, mine is heavy as hell for off hand shooting, I've thought about getting a bi-pod for it, mine needs zeroing but I can't move the front sight. Was yours anywhere near sighted in?
