Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default Tractor Yesterday...

Loaded my little 5020 AC up yesterday and

took it up to my SIL's place. It has a seal blown

on the front of the tranny and the clutch was

stuck from the hydraulic fluid that was pumping

in from the tranny, so much that it was running

out of the starter...

We dropped the loader and seven hours latter

the little tractor is sitting, broken apart in

three chunks and the radiator has been

pulled also, for a re-core...

I'm going back today to start gathering

up stuff to start putting it back together.

In a lot of ways my SIL and I are more alike

than my son and I.

I've heard, many times, that daughters

marry their fathers...It seems that in a lot

of ways she has, and she is turning into

her mother too.

I wasn't familiar with the Allis Chalmers 5020 so I googled it,,nice llookin little tractors size wise,,I was picturing something much larger.
I learned to drive a tractor when I was 10 ,,it was an AC C or CA,,can't remember which.
I like working on stuff like that except when it's time to get hay in and something broke,,then it becomes a first class emergency.
I wonder if my wife would agree that she married her father,,lol,,I'll ask her.

It's a little 21HP diesel 4 wheel drive

When I bought it, several years ago, I

just gave $1,200 for it and it came with

a bush hogg, and the front end loader.

My other tractor is a 70HP 1200 David Brown

I had a 1066 IH when I was farming...

I just don't need anything that big anymore,

thank goodness...

My middle son who lives next door has turned into the neighborhood mechanic When his steel worker work stagnates in the summer he wrenches for extra money to keep going. His secret helper is a smart phone which go's to youtube for the ( how to fix it ) mode. He also takes pictures at various stages of a complicated job so everything can go back together correctly.

if ya have the front end loader, then check the front berings etc while ya have it apart, it puts a lot of wear on the running gear with a front loader. Might as well save the time of pulling it apart again. A quick check / repack shouldn't cost that much unless it needs new stuff.

Nice lil' tractor there.

My neighbor from next door stopped over a couple weeks ago to ask me if I knew anything about Kabota Tractors...his diesel would not start. He has a NICE snowblower that attaches to the front and he does my driveway...just for something to do because he likes to play with his tractor.

I asked him a couple questions...got a few tools ...and we had it running in 10 minutes. The fuse in the glow-plug system popped. Replacing it had it starting and running immediately. He thought it was magic.

Always start with the simple shit first.

I like working on the old stuff. It was designed to be easy to work on/maintain/repair.

my current snowplow tractor is a 1990 Japanese 22 HP Yanmar Diesel YM226D 4x4 with a bucket on the front, also have a Sitrex 60 inch pull behind finish mower for the big areas in the summer.

parts are not cheap for these... aftermarket rear brake shoes was a 125 bucks.

I need to tattoo that on the inside of my forearm to remind me. The dumbest one I ever pulled was yanking the starter, ignition box, and distributor from my daughter's Toyota when the problem was the stupid security chip under the steering column had wiggled its way out.

I'm sticking with the '51 "M" and the '47 8N. That AC 5020 is a little Japanese rig with a Kabota or ? diesel. They're good little machines, but I don't know if they're too easy to get parts for. I have no idea how hard they are to work on, but probably not all that difficult. 44?
