You're having too much fun. Ever score some real black powder? That makes them even more fun than Pyrodex.

I bought another Colt 7 1/2" nickel .45 yesterday on gobroker. To be honest.....The EMF's and Ubertis shoot just as well or better as the colts and the blueing on the EMF is equal to Colt....Colt has nicer case colors and harder screws ...The screws on the italian guns get buggered very easily because they are so soft. Im not a big fan of the birdshead pistol i have.......im going to change the back strap to a standard SAA...I just don't like the way it fits my hand. I have a makeshift western town shooting range in the desert where i shoot....it consists of 2 abandon buildings and a corral that i ride my mountain bike out to and shoot..I have 2 metal target torso silhouettes that i have hidden out there that i set up and shoot over & over..the big .45 slugs knock them right over...It is fun as hell. |

What is a nicer Gun the EMF or Uberti? Ive been looking at those and the ruger stuff
I know my AWA is extremely nice and tight fit and finish Funny of the SAs I own, I still dont own a ruger. I like the old 3 screw rugers Looks like some of those 7 1/2" in the middle have a longer grip frame. Do they? which brand? |

In case any one here is curious... the polish blue jobs of the EMF Hartford models are equal to the colts i own. For 500 bucks for an italian pistol it's hard to justify spendind 4x the money for a Colt IMHO |

The colt is a better gun but not $1500 dollars better......My italian replicas are just as accurate and i wont be too bothered if i drop it in the rocks like i would if my colt fell in the rocks. I bought the colts just because of the mystique of owning them.....i shoot the italian guns much more. |

.45 Colt is very fun and easy to reload....the brass cases seem to last forever...I have some .45 colt brass that i have reloaded at least 40 times and its still good and holds the primers tight. I buy all my reloading components from dillion in scottsdale. |

You have a lot better collection of cowboy guns than I do. I don't have any colts.
My pair of large frame old style Ruger Vaqueros fit my big hand better. Both of them are .45 Long Colt. My Ruger Blacktop Flattop is in .44 Magnum. And I have a black powder Remington Army reproduction.

I am going to have to take new photograph some of my guns. |

I have a Pietta 1851 Navy Black Powder Revolver 36 Caliber... Paid about $99.00 many years ago
After I put a nice crown on the end of the barrel it is very accurate https://www.midwayusa.com/product/19...eel-frame-blue |
