That's a nice catch. What kind of bait did you use, and what kind of water were you fishing in?

I was on the larger of the two lakes pictured about the middle of the blue line. The water was a little stained with only about 3' of visibilty at the most. I was throwing a white/red skirted spinner bait with a willow blade. Damn thing hit like a dump truck and started stripping line right away. I did get another besides this one. |

Dang, that looks like a small lake for that size of fish. You going to have it mounted?

The lake has a surface area of about 55 acres. I have gotten others from there and the smaller one that have been about the same in length....but nowhere near as heavy.
This being one of the nicest ones I've caught in a while, I did tell my wife that's what I plan on doing. |

Nice catch! I need to go fishing. I live on a lake and haven't made the time lately.

we gotta come up with a term like "stiff arming" for when we pose for fish photos and you hold the fish straight out in front of ya closer to the camera than your body....
nice catch btw...good eats...if not too polluted |

No "stiff arming" on this one. My elbow's bent there.

Used to fish for largemouth with mice.
Two rubber bands holding a long shank trebble hook. I've had 'em take the bait and fly several feet out of the water. Yep, it's a heck of a rush! When that line is stripping and the drag is singing! |
