Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default Some pictures from the Northwoods

Here is some pictures of our campsite......

This is probably the last year for my tent. The zipper is getting difficult to work, and I think I'll get a new one before going out again.

To the left of our tent is the shower.

My bunk is on the right, and my wife's bunk is on the left.

Here is proof that bears don't always shit in the woods. I found lots of it on the trails, and some was right beside where I placed my tent.

This was a great season for blueberries. We brought home about a gallon. There were more blueberries than a million wetbacks could pick in a year.

Although mostly wooded, there is a fair amount of open land.

We found an interesting rock out in the middle of a large open area. I'm sure we weren't the first person to "discover" it, but it was quite interesting anyway. It had iron deposits in it, and quite a bit of hematite.

I can picture Hiawatha camping along this stream (Little Two Hearted River).

My wife on the shore of Gitchigoomie.

The Two Hearted River flowing into Lake Superior.

This is my wife kayaking one evening on the lake we were camped on (Homestead Lake). We were the only people camping within miles of there.

We found several new mushrooms that we tasted. Some were good, some weren't so good. We searched for the King Bolete, but never did find a patch of them.

We did some "scientific" gathering of some local vegetation.

Here is my wife riding her ATV.

Here is a picture of us crossing the swamp on swamp lake road.

I'm kneeling on the seat of my ATV, which is submerged over the headlights and up to the front rack.

My buddy had to tow me back to camp with his ATV, and I had to drain the engine and change the motor oil. There was a leak in the air cleaner box which allowed the ATV engine to take in water, and drown out. It should have been taking in air only from the snorkle tube. I'll get a new air cleaner box gasket this week.

I changed the oil a total of three times to make sure I got all of the water out of the engine.

The front end of the ATV is suspended by the winch cable which I attached to a limb in the tree. After changing the oil and working on the ATV, I took a shower and put on dry clothes.

My ATV ran fine after working on it.

Great pictures!
The Wild Blueberries make me envious!
I might have just got stuck, in one of the blueberry patches.

Ditto on the great pics!

It looks more like you 'moved in' instead of went camping.

Looks like you all had a lot of fun and relaxation.

Now what kind of a camper carries a step ladder, chainsaw and mechanics tools to a vacation?....You should have stayed home.

That's why I like the beach....nothing to do.

Well, the sand trail that we take our trucks on to get to our camp is sometimes grown over.
We have to cut up trees that have fell over the trail.
The ladder is to help us cut overhead branches so it won't hit our vehicles as we drive down the trail.
Sometimes we use a machete, sometimes an axe, and sometimes a chain saw.

And I always have that set of mechanics tools in my truck. It's a small set, but usually good enough for field expediency repairs.

I think it belongs to a hunting club. I've passed it on that trail every year I've went up there. Nobody is ever home.

But that fire was a small one. Here I was getting ready to make a bigger one.

The man knows how to enjoy his camping trip.

All the pics we took on my fishing/camping trip this summer got erased from the digital camera card. Don't ask how, but I wasn't the one who downloaded them, either.

Yeah, I have. The zipper is just worn out. They make the teeth out of plastic, and it wears down after several years of use. It jumps out of where it's supposed to be about every other time you zip it closed.

That tent has had several years of use, and I've repaired it in various places a half dozen times.
