Top stupid gun scams - Page 4

I have been prowling around Machinegunboard and reading the rambling of some of its members and I am reminded of the crap and scams I have come across in the gun world. Here is but a few:

1. WH thompson receivers must be blue printed because they are all out of spec;
2. the only way to have an accurate rifle is to cryo treat it;
3. to ensure accuracy you must have your rifling microscopically checked;
4. all 1911s must be tuned;
5. some guy claims to have a new impervious gun finish that is a reasonable $500 to apply and takes 7 months to complete;
6. the used gun that has a sale price of 75% over what it should be because the previous owner shot it only once then put away in dehumidified safe;
7. This AR/AK ect is more valuable because it is a preban;
8. and my all time favorite is the colt that is from the Custer battle field.
