Sporting Clays
Been awhile since I last touched off the scattergun, but I did reasonably well, the bouncing rabbit kicked my ass! The old 870 felt good.

Haven't shot clays in two years now. Love doing it, just haven't had the time; and it seems shotgun ammo is the only thing you can find readily available in bulk, at any store you walk into. Always use my 870 as well.

My shoulder is feeling it now. Even 2 3/4'' number 8 shot hurts after 4 boxes......

I figure that if it's what I use for duck hunting, it's good enough for clay pigeons. Always best to practice with what you're gonna use anyways.

I missed the tournament on Saturday at the club. It was a fundraiser for the Safari Club Intl.
I'm kind of glad I didn't go. With the rain we got, it would have been a slippery, muddy mess trying to navigate up and down the hills. Oh well. Next tournament - the first Saturday of the month. Sporting Clays - my new drug of choice.

You shouldn't be shooting heavy loads. Use target loads.

I was so excited to be at the skeet range that I was neglecting proper stock mount, -(too low)but I was doing well....dusting six straight before the dreaded "Rabbit"....still nursing a decent bruise.
