Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default Shot shell cannon?

Would it be legal to build a breech-loading shot shell cannon using 105mm cases?

I've got the urge to build something on the insane side.

I'm sure there is some law to trip you up. I'm wanting to build a mortar that pop cans can be fired from.

I have one, load the can with dirt and rocks, 4 oz of powder and your can will climb out of sight.
Shoot the thing with the sun behind you, as the can starts tumbling you will be able to watch it for a LONG time, as the sun reflects off the aluminum top and bottom.

You could do it but it would have to be registered as a destructive device. Finding an unregistered breach block that aint registered would be a problem. Most anything above .51 caliber is were they stat to scrutinize it. Remember Lloyd Bensten made street sweeper & SPAS 12 gauges Destructive Devices.

Black powder cannons & mortars have fewer restrictions. A buddy has been building a bowling ball mortar. He went with a fuse .vs percussion cap, say the caps might run you into legal problems down the road

I would make everything from scratch. I have about 2 tons of 8630 8"x8" steel setting here doing nothing. Making a smooth-bore barrel out of 4150 shouldn't be a problem.

I know that rifle bores over .50 (except the .50BMG) are considered cannons. Shotguns are different, but I don't remember the regs. 10ga and 8ga shotguns are obviously over 1/2" bore. I'll have to visit the ATFE website and find out.

I use to work for a guy selling double rifles. Biggest bore he ever had in inventory was a .600 Nitro express. I do believe there is a .700 N.E.. There are big bores rifle the BATFE allows.

Ohio-based SSK Industries has produced the largest center-fire rifle in history. It is a .905 caliber.

No idea where you're going with that but I might be within range, please advise regarding updates. No claim in my current ghetto zone, I'll happily evacuate!

Looking at a discontinued Gamo .22 "shotgun" for the neighbor's quad-copter toy. I've already run some fishing line traps... Too easy with a regular 12 gauge. $250 for a poof vs. a boom is really worth it. I probably do not have a legal right to my "air space".

More than he does, he won't come for the prisoner.

I've parked that idea in the 'things I'd like to make' garage. I don't have time for it right now. Too busy working on customers stuff.

I've been on their website several times.
I have, at least, 20 pounds of 500 gr. .69 cal. round ball. Fourteen to the pound.
They come out of my dbl. bbl. cap lock 12 ga. muzzle loader very accurately.

I also have a .69 cal. musket, flintlock, it's fun to shoot also.

Just do NOT have a Mountain Howitzer!
