Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Thumbs up

Sanders thank yah much that was real interesting.
I think 40 grains in the shells and 100 grains free pour no shell? Holy sheet it looked like a damn flame thrower that kicked.
Imagine battles back in those days where that thing jammed the hell up on yah. Or getting hit with one of those rounds? I just read why guys lost a lot of limbs getting shot with those. Damn must have hurt?

I have a Sharps with a 34" barrel. When I first got it I loaded up a bunch of 500 grain bullets. Wow, they about tore my shoulder off.

I tried 400 grain and they were still painful. I then settled on 350 grain bullets. They still have a lot of recoil but such that I can live with.

I use smokeless powder in mine. I don't like to have to clean up that black powder every time I shoot it.

A childhood friend had one of those his dad picked up somewhere. Never was allowed to shoot it.

Using smokeless powder is the ticket. I have several boomsticks that originally were built in the black powder days. Only one I have used black powder in is the civil war era Remington, rifle in cal .58. I need to order in some 45/70 government loads for my trapdoor. I do enjoy shooting it.
