I learned how to shoot by killing rats at a garbage dump with my Dad and a single shot .22 Glenfield rifle he bought at Western Auto. I taught my daughters on the same rifle. It will go to my oldest when I'm gone - or sooner if she finally gives me a grandbaby.

They pack as much punch as some pellet guns. I shoot them all the time.
You quote says handguns only, but I use them in my Henry .22 with no issues so far. All you can hear is the hammer fall. Perfect for plinking our venomous snakes in the backyard.

I took 3 boxes of M855 5.56 over to someone in need, the other day. I told him he'd have to pay $70 for it if he had gone to the store, and that's only if they had it in stock, but I was having a sale and for that day only I'd only take a hamburger and a beer in exchange.
