Scientists find largest meteorite impact in the British Isles
Researchers tracked down the impact site of an ancient meteorite by studying the alignment patterns of ancient debris sprayed in all directions by the violent collision. Researchers have located the epicenter of an ancient meteorite impact along the Scottish coast, the largest impact in the British Isles. Scientists first identified evidence of the impact in 2008, but they were unable to pin down the exact location of the crater. Over the last decade, researchers conducted field studies and analyzed rock samples in the lab. Their findings allowed them to identify...

According to the article, "the 25-mile-wide crater" was covered up by "new rock and water". What if a meteorite hit say, NYC, DC, Chicongo, Deriot, and left a 25 mile crater? Hell, I'd buy the beer for the first round!

One of the best places to look for and find meteorites is Antarctica. They are easy to spot lying on the ice or snow.
