Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default My cannas are starting to bloom

This one isn't as showy as some of my other cannas that will bloom later but it's still pretty.

And my Cleomi flowers are starting to bloom.

If you look close you will see a tiny Hover Fly gathering pollen and nectar.

I noticed the friggin Japanese Beetles are appearing again.

Time to start spraying with Sevin. BTW, that Beetle is no longer among the living.

Probably what you saw was a Hummingbird Moth (Macroglossum stellatarum).

Default Jap beetles

An organic method I was taught many years ago is this: Collect all the jap's in an empty coffee can, grind them up in your wife's blender strain through cheesecloth to get the shell particles and such, pour into sprayer fill with water and spray the veggies berries flowers works for awhile...they get to smelling if you leave'em in the can too long though...

My lillies have run their course. I'm betting they need replanting in a more shady place.
They sure didn't last long this season.

Nice bloom, getting close here. Tempted to buy a blooming dwarf at the local shop just for the foliage. I've got a lot of blooms coming, very few with dark leaves the nursery specimens offer.
