Aimpoints batteries last some kind of crazy long time where I don't even turn mine off ever.

The M2 Aimpoints have an advertised battry life of approx 10,000 hours. They are... somewhat... rugged.

There is a short view on you tube where a man takes his aimpoint off his rifle....throws it up in the air to land on concretre 100' away, picks it up puts it back on his rifle and resumes shooting at a target 100 yds away...he does THAT a couple times.

SEALS use them. They dont use anything that is NOT top shelf and WORKS under shit conditions.

It is not uncommon to pay more for an ACOG than the rifle cost.
