rough day, and it will continue tomorrow
Not a good day in the house today.
After shooting the snake it all started going down hill. Although it was planned yesterday, I had to take our female dog to be put to sleep this afternoon. We tried treatments, none worked and surgery was not guaranteed to stop the bleeding tumor that she had. Last couple hours were really rough and didn't even think she would make it to the vet for the appointment. My daughter who is pregnant with what will be my first grandson was hospitalized and will be undergoing thyroid surgery tomorrow. They will have to do it under a local anesthetic because of the pregnancy. My wife is now hours into her cleanse for a colonoscopy tomorrow at the same time my daughter's surgery starts 30 miles away. Stool samples came back positive for the presence of blood, and cancer of all kinds run in her family. To top it off, our AC went out again for the second time in less than a week. Just had it repaired last Friday, and it took a sh!t this evening. Thank goodness for the couple backup window units we have. Somehow I feel like I'm being tested

I'm speechless, good luck with all of that, it'll be a burden to bear, don't let it get you down, because they all will be depending on you.

Bob, take care of yourself and try to relax. The last thing your grandson, your daughter and your wife need is a man with a stroke.
Prayers for all Sir, and truly sorry for your dog. Rest in Peace. cerberus |

Sorry to hear about all that happening at once. I've found you just have to take care of things one at a time - none of that female "multitasking" crap.
My prayers are with you...

When it rains it pours, lately I feel like that too. I hope your daughter comes out all right and your wife is clear, everything else can take a step back.

Thanks for the well wishes and prayer, y'all.
Guess things are a little better. The snake is still dead. The dog is buried but missed, and now my Lab seems depressed. Daughters surgery went good, now just waiting on further biopsy results Wife's colonoscopy went good, no cancer, blood was from an ulcer. Meds and change of diet, are better than chemo anyway. AC is still out until tomorrow morning. Not paying for emergency service when I already had the window units in for backup, and they can keep the house at 70. Now all of us along the gulf get to watch the weather for the weekend to see where this heavy rain is gonna hit. |
