Good one, Aviator, and that's why I like big fat 'slow' projectiles.

Even my .44 Special digests 240 gr. KTSWC projectiles with efficiency.

Just more graphic examples of why you want to avoid being the receiver of any incoming fire.

For inside the home I like either a .45 with a 200 grain lead swc-hp cast dead soft or an 85 grain 9mm hp at super high velocity outside the home mostly I carry a .357 because it is the best manageable man stopper on the planet I use 125 grain xtps loaded to 1450+ fps. The little slug just leaves it all on the field. It all depends on your situation if you are worried about over penetration you want light bullets going really fast or heavy bullets with wide me plats and poor sectional density made to expand. These choices are less than ideal going through car doors. That being said I hate 40 s&w.

180 grain golden sabers in 40 caliber was the stuff I carried at my last job. At least I didn't have to use it.
The nice thing is that UMC makes fmj in the same bullet weight, primer and identical powder. You practice like you fight and vice versa. Remington rocks. The $$$ is pretty reasonable too. |
