Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Plastic injection castings HAVE to be less expensive, to make, than steel or aluminum.
We have replaced our Constitution with political agendas and political posturing and Washington, D.C., corruption.

When it comes to evil, to tolerate is to accommodate, to accommodate is to appease, and to appease is to concede defeat.

I haven't owned a 1911 for quite awhile. I really need to get another, but not one of these for sure. I have owed several GI standard ones, a few Gold Cups, and several Commanders and I learned from those that if you screw much with the original it doesn't work well anymore without a lot of special techniques. Not one of those aluminum Commanders would fire without stovepiping unless you held them really tightly and they were always dropping hot brass right on my head. I'd buy one hoping it would work well but it wouldn't so I would sell it. Did that 3 times I think. Finally bought one with a steel frame. That steel frame Commander never had a problem like that and I am still kicking myself for selling that one. Point is, I would be real surprised if these poly framed ones functioned well, at least for me.

There are better choices out there other than 1911's for self defense & target shooting. My tactical guns are strategically located around my house & in the gun cabinet. That's their place.
My 1911's however are prominently displayed over my desk in my office. These are classic guns and every bit as reliable & accurate as my other guns. Why cheapen the rich engineering and history of these guns, by manufacturing cheaper low class firearms just to call them 1911's.

Just my opinion.

I might be able to warm up to it if the price point was around that of a Keltec polymer pistol.
