Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

I like Colt and Springfield 1911s and H&Ks but might be out of your price range.

Bang for buck I think the EAA Witness is the best deal out there.

I don't know about the EEA in .45 yet but my two in 10mm are outstanding. I have a conversion in .22 and 9mm, when finances allow I'll get one in .45.

The best shooting 1911 for under $700 in my opinion is the Remington R1. It functions flawlessly out of the box and is very accurate plus it has the best mags I have ever seen on a 1911.

go buy yourself a Rock Island 1911 base model and do your own upgrades.

unless you can throw down a grand of course!

I think maybe the new Sig 1911 are double action....no idea...but they should be!

I love the 1911, but the HK USP45 has got me stumped.Simply cause it polymer, but I still trust the steel more though. So same response as everyone else.

I looked at a Colt .45 at the gunshop last week,it was a smaller version 8 rd single stack mag and instead of sights it had a groove down down the center,,,it fit my smallish hands real well and came to my eye quick but I think it would be better with a Crimson Trace laser grip sight,I wish I could remeber the model but I do know it was about 900$ NIB

RIA guns are great guns for the money and they have great customer service and like a lot of gun companies these days offer a life time warranty.
