Nice! I had Esmerelda's site bookmarked on my old computer, but lost all them in the changeover and never could remember her name.
I like these: http://esmeralda.cc/collections/1911...d-cel-iv299566

Very nice, Sanders.
Most of the Esmerelda 1911 style grips are pretty spectacular - this was no easy choice, and I may go back for more for the Kimber, although the stock Kimber grips are pretty darn good in themselves.

I like 1911 grips with really sharp wood checkering. They are not good for firing a lot of rounds, but they are good for holding onto the gun with sweaty hands. And my carry gun does not need to be my range gun.

Sorry I had missed the pics Rick. Esmeralda is a nationally recognized stock maker. You chose well sir.

Thats a nice looking piece. I really like the commander length 1911s.
I have a set of genuine ivory grips here somewhere. They do look sweet on a blued piece. |

I have some fake ivory grips for mine. The bluing is pretty much worn off it, but they still look nice - they just don't take on the aged patina that real ivory does, of course.
