Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

Default Does anybody own a .41 Magnum revolver?

I don't own one. In fact, I've never even shot one. I'm thinking it would be a dandy cartridge - in between the .357 Mag and the .44 Mag.

Not sure if I want something like a Ruger Blackhawk or a S&W.

Anyone own one or ever shoot one? What's your opinions?

It's on the "list" of gotta haves.

I just don't have one yet. My Grandpa had a .41 Mag. Ruger that I recall my Dad liked a lot, but I don't know what happened to it.

The one on my "list" is the S&W.

I've read that the actual S&W revolver which Clint Eastwood used in making the movie Dirty Harry was actually a .41 Magnum instead of a .44 Magnum.

I do too. One .357 Magnum, a S&W, and two .44 Magnums, one a S&W, the other a Ruger Blackhawk.

My 357 is a Dan Wesson with the smoothest trigger I have ever found on something straight out of the box. The 44 is a cowboy killer, single action Virginian Dragoon with a 71/2 inch barrel. More like a palm killer and wrist breaker combined.

I've read that Colt never did make a .41 Magnum Python, but there were .357 Pythons which were re-bored and re-chambered. No matter, a .41 Mag Python would be a joy to own.

One of my late BIL had a S&W 41 magnum, I shot it many times and thought very highly of the pistol and the round.

Extremely accurate IMO

My dad's favorite revolver was an old Ruger Blackhawk .41 Mag. I have thought about a S&W M57 more than once. I would like to find one of the blued 57s but wouldn't turn down a SS 657 either. RetVet I really like my Dan Wesson M15 in .357 too.

I've got three, Smith 57 six inch, Smith 58 four inch and a Ruger Blackhawk 7 1/2 inch. Almost the hitting power of a 44 mag but without the recoil. My favorite cartridge after the 45 ACP.

Yeah, I'd like to run across a really nice blued M57 at a good price.

Try a Python Even the roughest Python trigger is smooth as glass. The worst one I've ever found was still better than the best (insert brand here) I've ever found.

I've read that too. Most people also believe that there was never a .22-caliber Python, or a .257 Win Mag Python. Keep looking These were produced in very very limited numbers, but they do exist. Limbaugh did some conversions, but factory revolvers were available in these calibers.

The .41 magnum cartridge is a joy to shoot. Like others have said, it's a nice middle-ground caliber from the noisy .357mag and the [sometimes] overpowering .44mag. It won't blow your arm off, but still has plenty of punch. All in all, I would encourage just about anyone to try one. They're good
