How Many Instant Pot Cooker Do We Have Here???
We currently own 3. Two of the 6 quarts and we just bought an 8 quart that we've not used yet.
I'll share some recipes if there is interest.

I have the big one. Made a pot of beans in it the other day. Pressure cooking the beans with the bacon infuses them with that good, smoky bacon flavor you just can't get by boiling them all day.

We have one, six quart I believe. We've cooked several types of beans in it. I still soak the beans for 4 to 6 hours before cooking. Also changing the water several times before cooking. Here's a great recipe for baked beans (that I cook at least once a month):
http://www.lemonlavenderlove.com/201...e-instant-pot/ If you are a fan of boiled peanuts, they can be cooked in an hour for green peanuts or 1.5 hours for dried peanuts. We use ours a lot. Soup, bone broth, greens ,etc.

I normally use the same water/broth from start to finish. But I'm sure you have your reasoning. ETA: OK, that recipe looks amazing. But I'm still curious about the water part. |

Method #3 is the method that I use and it works for me and doesn't seem to affect the flavor of the beans any. |

Hmmm, according to Method #2, it wouldn't be necessary when pressure cooking.
But then again, sometimes my co-workers need getting even with. |
