Not exactly, I do reload .44 Mags to what would be a hot .44 Spcl. 240 grains at 900-950 fps.
Elmer Keith REALLY hot rodded some .44 spcls (250 gr. to 1200 fps IIRC), but his guns didn't last very long when he did that. If you're looking for load data, I'd think cast, and use the Lyman book. All the possibilities were worked out long ago. P.S if all I had was a 44 spcl with factory loads, (or 45 Colt with same) I would not feel undergunned for anything common sense would indicate a one hand gun for. Regards, |

Actually, I have some brass for .44 S&W Spl., that came to me in a can of brass, and other stuff from some old guy, who gave it to me. I was looking to give the brass to someone who uses that brass to reload. I was thinking of turning it into .455 Webley, but because it is WRA headstamped brass, I thought I would offer it to a true user, before I morph it into something else.

That's a good deal Horse. I don't use it as I too load the .44mag and have never owned a .44spl. Had a friend in Germany that used to fire form .44mag brass into .45Colt. It would only last for 3 or 4 firings after that but .45Colt was very scarce then. When I went to ANOC at Ft Benning I brought him back 300 .45Colt case's.
