Welcome to the site where the owners and members have had it with playing "nice" and being "inclusive" and "tolerant" of points of view that are destroying the fabric of what made this country great. The members here are sick and tired of politicians of all parties lying, deceiving, stealing, and pretending they are doing it all for the good of the country while selling out to special interests who have the set goal of destroying this country. We have had enough of career politicians who use their office only for personal gain, and who refuse to listen to the people who put them in office. The membership is no longer part of the silent majority who play nice and get along while getting screwed by anyone with a loud voice and an agenda. We will no longer allow anyone to piss down our back and tell us it's raining. And we like guns too.

I should know better than to watch the news when there is a storm. Its just like looking on webmd when you have a headache.

Jim Cantore from the weather channel is on the beach Mexico city Panhandle in the brunt of the incoming storm. So my bud is here and I said he better put on a frigging helmet.
Honest to God as soon as I say that a frigging two X 4 whips through the air slap fast into his cranium. Knocked him about 20 feet. He put on a helmet.

Wow, this thing is still carrying 150 mph winds as it heads toward south Georgia with an eyewall intact.

You were right to be worried about it. Lucky you didn't get caught up in it.

And I thank the good Lord for that. I pray that no lives were lost.

Negative.
We've had drizzles on & off with light wind. An occasional series of gusts to 25+.

About 15 minutes ago we lost power but here in Hamilton Co., the power isn't as reliable as we'd like.

If an armadillo farts the power drops off.
Right now we're running on back up power until further notice.

Ever since the storms we had back in 2004, I DO NOT take these hurricanes lightly.

During Francis, I recall the wind blowing & blowing & blowing, harder & harder then, the house creaking in which the wife & I got very religious for a few hours.

Not having power for 2 weeks from Francis then no power for 3 weeks from Jeanne, I stay prepared.

Lost all of my stockade fence, and some siding both times. The only good thing was business was booming for the following 18 months.
It was part of the reason why I was able to retire at 58.
